Dr. Collazo earned his dental degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1990. Shortly after graduation, he joined the U.S. Army Dental Corps where he completed an Advanced Education Program in
General Dentistry. In 1995, following military assignments in Kansas, Germany and Texas, Dr. Collazo established residence in Northern Virginia.
Professionally, he is dedicated to providing his patients exceptional clinical care. This pursuit has taken him to develop professional relationships with some of the best advanced dental education centers in the World, like The Pankey Institute and Spear Education. His areas of clinical interest are adult complex restorations, esthetics,
dental implants, facial pain, TMJ disorders, and dental sleep medicine. He lectures on those topics to local study clubs and maintains membership in the Greater Loudoun Study Club (where he serves as a restorative advisor), Spear Faculty Club and Spear Study Club.
Dr. Collazo believes that each patient presents a unique set of conditions, desires and expectations that must be evaluated and understood. Therefore, he aims to develop a partnership with his patients and to empower them to create a lifetime strategy to achieve comfort, function, beauty and dental health.
Outside the office, Dr. Collazo is a family man and sport enthusiast. As a former volleyball athlete, he lends his experience by being on the coaching staff of the Heritage High School Volleyball Program and Club Volleyball circuit. In addition to dentistry and sports, his wife of over 30 years and family (which includes two adult daughters and a dog) are his foundation and greatest success.
Dr. Collazo is a preferred Vendor for the Management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea with Oral Appliance Therapy in Reston, Herndon, Sterling and Loudoun County.
